Legal sports has arrived across New Jersey at racetracks and casinos.
The nation’s first bets were produced at 10:33 a.m. June 14, 2018, at a ceremony held at Monmouth Park’s William Hill Race & Sports Bar.
An hour later, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City began taking bets. The NJ sports gambling market was off and running.
DraftKings became the first business to offer legal online sports betting in New Jersey on Aug. 6. In short order, more internet sportsbook programs entered the industry ahead of NFL season.
And the market continues to grow.
