Brighton chief executive and deputy chairman Paul Barber said:Its very Difficult to understand why a few people think its acceptable to act in this way, but we are very clear that neither Brighton and Hove Albion, nor the wider
Soccer community, will endure racism or discrimination in any time.
its very encouraging that in both events our stewards were alarmed to the totally improper conduct by additional Albion enthusiasts and, working with Sussex Police, our employees could take rapid action, which hopefully will raise the odds of a certainty.
We do not want individuals exhibiting any type of discriminatory or anti-social behavior inside our arena, and Id love to thank people Albion fans for reporting the incidents to us as soon as they discovered it.
We would recommend any fans faced with comparable discriminatory behaviour to report it either directly into a steward or via our anonymous hotline, and we are going to take strong action.
